World Wildlife Conservation Day has been celebrated on December 4th of every year. Wildlife includes all the undomesticated animal species, plants, fungi, and other organisms that grow or live wild in a place. They are found in all ecosystem. Wildlife is playing an important role in balancing the environment. Over the years, wildlife trafficking has increased, and these species are being slaughtered, killed for food and commercial use. The practice of protecting the wildlife including plant, animal species, and their habitats is called as wildlife conservation. World Wildlife Conservation Day is an awareness day that raises concerns about protecting the wildlife from further destruction.

History of World Wildlife Conservation Day
The first World Wildlife Conservation Day was celebrated in the year 2012. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, established the Day, during a call to action to conserve the wildlife. On November 8th, 2012, at the State Department the “Wildlife Trafficking and Conservation: A Call to Action” event was held. Secretary Clinton had drafted the White House’s strategy to address the global problem of the wildlife trafficking. In many ways, the Day aims at raising awareness about the need to protect the wildlife as they are the natural beauty of any place globally. Unlike other things, forest and wildlife cannot be constructed or manufactured. It is so much vital to prevent these undomesticated species from being destroyed.
Due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife, wildlife conservation has become an increasingly important practice. Wildlife conservation includes bringing awareness about wildlife poaching, trafficking, and its security, economic, and environmental effects. The intention of wildlife conservation is to ensure that nature and wildlife will be around for future generations. The Awareness Day recognizes the importance of wildlife and forest for the humans and other species alike. The governmental agencies and NGO’s in many nations has dedicated to wildlife to conserving wildlife. It includes implementing the policies designed to protect this wildlife and its habitat. Various independent nonprofit organizations also supporting various wildlife conservation causes.
