Sandcastle Day

Sandcastle Day is celebrated on first Saturday of August. This year it will be celebrated on August 4. Sandcastle Day was designed to help us remember just how much enjoyment some sand, water, and the sunshine can give us. For everyone, the childhood sandcastle memories should be a memorable one. Sandcastle Day is a perfect Day to find a couple of hours to remember how incredible building sandcastles at the beach can be.

History is a child building a sand-castle by the sea, and that child is the whole majesty of man’s power in the world.” – Heraclitus

The peoples recently had taken the Sandcastle as an art form. From 1989 until 2009, the World Championship in Sand Sculpture is also known as “Harrisand” was held in Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, and Canada. The world’s tallest sand castle was made on Myrtle Beach in South Carolina during Sun Fun Festival 2007. The sandcastle was almost 50 feet in height, and it took ten days to construct, using 300 truckloads of sand.

How to Celebrate SandCastle Day

Celebrating the Sandcastle Day is quite easy and very simple to remember. You don’t have to live in the picturesque oceanside village to enjoy this day. Went to nearby lake or river with your friends or family members and built a sand castle and then spend some hours. You can take pictures of the sandcastle that you build and share them on the social media by using the hashtag #SandCastleDay.
