Brownie Day

National Brownie Day comes on December 8 of every year. Brownie is a rich, decadent and blend of cake and cookie that feels amazing in your mouth. Brownies are typical lunchbox fare, eaten by hand and mostly accompanied by coffee or milk. Sometimes they may be served with ice cream or sprinkled with powdered sugar. Brownie is of different forms. They may be fudgy or cakey depending on their size, and they may contain nuts, whipped cream, chocolate chips, frosting and other ingredients. Brownies are very popular in restaurants where they can be seen in a lot of variations.

History of Brownie Day

The First ever Brownie was made in late 1800’s, and they were found bedecked in apricot glaze and inundated with delicious walnuts. Till now the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, they serve the same recipe as that served to those ladies over hundred years ago. Brownie day was estimated by millions of fans of the chocolatey-cakey treat, and those recipes that have cropped up over the years has been legion. From Chocolate Mint Brownie to those made with gorgeous swirls of caramel, the variations of brownie were limited only by the extent of your imagination.
