History of National Limerick Day

The founder of National Limerick Day is still unknown. The National Limerick Day is celebrated for honoring the birthday of Edward Lear, who is an English poet and the author. He was born in 1812, and he gets Lear popularized this form of poetry, and he published his book in 1846 called A Book of Nonsense. Then the term limerick just refers some specific version of poetry, which started from the city of Limerick, Ireland. The Limerick poem has traditionally five lines, with that every poem has AABBA rhyme scheme. Then the rhyme scheme is the pattern that follows the rhymes in a poem. You can easily identify the rhymes in a poem by just using the designated letter in each line.
