World Kindness Day

World Kindness Day is commemorated on November 13 of every year.  World Kindness Day is created to celebrate and promote kindness in all its forms. It is a special day to highlight good deeds in the society focusing on the positive power and the general thread of kindness which binds us. The Kindness Day encourages the people to be kind to each other and to increase happiness, joy and peace through kindness. The main aim of the day is to look beyond ourselves, beyond the limits of our country, surpassing our culture, our race, our religion to realise that we are citizens of the world.

Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” – Lao Tzu

World Kindness Day

History of World Kindness Day

The World Kindness Movement in 1998 (a conglomeration of service organisations around the world) created the World Kindness Day. It is the opening of a global reaction to the exploitation of our human and natural resources. Considered to be a value, and considered in most communities and religions as an excellent quality, kindness is the act of being attentive, sympathetic and empathetic towards other people and living beings. The day encourages the individuals to overlook boundaries, race and religion. According to modern psychology, generous acts thoroughly improve our pleasure.
