International Bikini Day

International Bikini Day is celebrated on July 5 of every year. The International Bikini Day marks the anniversary of the invention of the bikini in 1946 by Louis Reard, a Parisian fashion designer. The main aim of the International Bikini Day is to get to the closest beach and spend the entire day in the bikini.

Everyone has a different body shape, so you kind of have to figure out not only what works best for your body type, but what also makes you feel confident. Even if everyone thinks you look good in a bikini, and you don’t feel good in it, you’re not going to be at your best. If you feel great in a bikini, you can always work it.” – Gigi Hadid

History of International Bikini Day

The International Bikini Day was invented when two friends, Natasha and Devin decided to team up and travel during the summer season of 2012. They decided to Travel with nothing more than a suitcase full of Bikinis. They visited places like California, Mexico, Hawaii, and Australia. Thus International Bikini Day is created when they decided to upload daily photos of themselves in different bikinis. The bikini is a women’s abbreviated two-piece swimsuit with a bra top for the chest and underwear cut below the navel. The basic design of bikini is very simple with two triangles of stuff on top cover the women’s breasts, and two triangles of fabric on the bottom cover the groin in front and the buttocks in back. The size of the bikini may vary from full pelvic coverage to a revealing thong or G-string design.
