Auctioneering is a sales technique that began more than 2,000 years ago. Auctioneers are people who are in charge of a public sale or auction; they provide service for both the seller and the buyer. They should continue high standards to remain competitive.

History of National Auctioneers Day

The origin and history of National Auctioneers Day are not known but as stated by the National Auctioneers Association, this day has been celebrated for more than 25 years.  According to National Auctioneers Association, the professional auctioneers sell approximately about a quarter trillion dollars in services and goods every year. These auctioneers not only help in selling the products and services but they get the job quickly done entertainingly as well. The 1st auction was held in Babylon in 500B.C. There are different kinds of sales around the world like livestock, surplus auction system, automobile and art auctions where artworks are sold. You just can’t imagine, many things can be put up for sale.
